The world of Creative Entrepreneurs

Well its Friday again and time to look at my ‘Blog of the Week’. It’s been a productive week this week and as I was doing some research for a new article on Event Design I came across ‘Design Glut’. This blog focusses on the inspiring stories of creative entrepreneurs. It is run by two fabulous girls, Kegan and Liz, who post between 2-3 interviews per week for their readers. If ever you are feeling as though you are alone in your quest to launch a creative business of any description it really is inspiring to read some of the interviews on this site. You will feel a kinship with alot of the interviewees and alot of what they say will no doubt ring many bells.

It is also good to read if you are struggling to come up with a unique way of getting your brand, product or name out there. Many of the people interviewed have really broken the mould with what they have done and there are plenty of ideas on the site that you could mould or adapt for your own business. (Not that I am suggesting that you should copy them outright, but everyone gets their inspiration from somewhere).

There is a particularly good interview with Josh Spear who at the tender age of 24 is already running a Virtual Media empire. It’s a fascinating read and something we can all learn from in this world where blogging is a must. Anyway, check it out for yourself and see what you think. Who knows it may be just the inspiration you needed on this rather cold and windy Friday morning. (Well it is cold here in Melbourne)
