Event Solutions Ideas Factory

It is only 5 days now until I fly to Las Vegas to attend the Event Solutions Ideas Factory and I have to say the excitement is mounting in the Academy office. As many of our readers will know we attended Ideas Factory last year and came away completely inspired and minds filled to bursting with new ideas and trends for the forthcoming year. We have no doubt that this year will be the same.

So what does this mean for our students at the Academy? Well as the leader of training and accreditation for Wedding Planners, Wedding Stylists, Event Designers and Event Planners in Australia, New Zealand, the UK and now also in the United States, it is our job to keep our students up to date and informed. So whatever we learn and take away from the Ideas Factory our students will benefit too. You may not attend in person, but through our team attending you will feel as though you have been sat in the front row all week.

So who is on the list of speakers this year that in our book is a must to see:

• Preston Bailey – I am lucky enough to be attending the live Floral Sculpture demonstration so stay tuned for the trade secrets I am bound to pick up from the great man. I am so excited it is ridiculous!
• David Tutera – if anyone knows how to brand themselves it is this man. It helps that he is also very good at what he does, but it is his business acumen that really interests me.
• Sean Low – this man is a genius. He single handedly turned Preston Bailey’s business around. Although Preston has always been an artist of extraordinary ability his business hasn’t always made money, and it was Sean Low who helped him to create the brand he is today and turn his business around. I can’t wait to hear him speak again.
• Howard Givener – I sat and listened to Howard speak last year and was very impressed with his theory on how to set your fees as a planner. It was simple, easy to understand and made perfect sense. I can’t wait to hear what other pearls of wisdom he has to impart this time so we can share them with you all.
• Liene Stevens – a digital marketing genius Liene is the founder and the owner of Splendid Communications and if you don’t already read her blog you should as it is packed full with excellent advice for those in the wedding and event industry. I have never seen her speak so I am very excited to see her at the Ideas Factory
• Sasha Souza – one of my favourite event designers in the wedding industry. I have read Signature Sasha:  Magnificent Weddings by Design from cover to cover and can honestly say it has given me so much inspiration. I cannot wait to hear her speak in a few short days.

There are many other speakers who will be at the Ideas Factory but these are definitely at the top of my list and I will be writing blog posts on all of them with detailed articles for the students of the Australian Academy of Wedding and Event Planning.
