Summer School Is In

FAST TRACK YOUR CAREER by joining us for the SUMMER! Summer is a great time to relax and unwind after a hectic year of University, Tafe and work. You have worked hard all year and you deserve some time to travel, just laze on the beach, catch up with friends and family and enjoy the festive season. But the Australian Summer break is long and with so much time on your hands why not spend some of it with us here at the Academy.

study-at-the-beachIf you are creative, imaginative and organized, a career in wedding planning and design could be just for you. We have put together a new course for 2010, Diploma of Wedding Planning and Design, which is only available via E Learning through our Summer School and offers a structured weekly environment for those who need it. This fantastic new course combines the elements of planning and design so allows you to be both creative and organised at the same time and is perfect for anyone wishing to go into the area of wedding planning & styling.
 
Each week you will be delivered two units and two podcasts via our Virtual Campus. Assignments can be emailed in weekly or at the end of the course. Once a month there will be a one hour tutorial session which is online via our interactive webinar portal. These sessions are hosted by one of our tutors who are there to discuss different elements of the course you have covered and to answer any queries or questions you may have. Sessions are held on a Saturday morning to allow those who work full time to participate.
 
Summer School will commence on Monday 11th of January and finish on Friday 23rd of April. The course units are as follows:

  19. Catering
  20. Flowers and Decorations
  21. Transport
  22. Photographer/Videographer
  23. Invites and Gifts
  24. The Big Day
  25. Client Consultations
  26. Pricing & Defining Your Services

The Tutorial sessions will be held as follows:

Saturday 16th of January – 09.00 – 10.00 – Online
Saturday 13th of February – 09.00 – 10.00 – Online
Saturday 13th of March – 09.00 – 10.00 – Online
Saturday 17th of April – 09.00 – 10.00 Online

How much does it cost & how can you enrol in the Summer School?
The course is offered at $2,200 for those paying in full or 4 consecutive monthly payments of $605 which includes a 10% admin charge. All prices are subject to GST.
