A Sneak Peek – Event Design 2009

Here at the Academy we have been fevourishly working away on our latest course – Certificate in Event Design. We have been approached many times from both professionals already working in the industry to new students who are looking for a creative outlet. Many of them have already looked at interior decorating courses, floral design courses and even bridal beauty courses, but are looking for something that allows them to combine both planning with design. 

Well we are now proud to announce that the Event Design Certificate is now launched. The course explores the artistic side of creating memorable events. In each unit  students will discover unique and innovative ways to design and transform environments for all types of events and venues. The course is a fun blend of conceptualizing, planning and production with lots of hands-on creativity. Students will practice virtual draping, rigging, prop and centrepiece design. They will also look at how and where to find creative inspiration, design presentations,sourcing materials, budgeting and event execution.

As part of the course we include a 3 month license to Vivien Virtual Design Software and run through tutorials on using the software to help you hit the ground running once you complete the course. Offered as E Learning the entire course is interactive with Podcasts and Webcasts that bring the whole thing alive. Using our Virtual Campus allows you to login to your course anywhere that you have internet access. There are no extra study books required as everything is provided within the Virtual Campus.
